Poonch, June 7,2026- As part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Poonch district is gearing up for a Mega Padyatra aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and mobilizing public participation in the fight against narcotics.
Ahead of the event, Deputy Commissioner Poonch appealed to residents from all walks of life to participate in large numbers and contribute to the collective effort of building a drug-free society. He emphasized that the success of the campaign depends on active community involvement and sustained public awareness.
The Mega Padyatra is being organized as part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which seeks to educate people, particularly youth, about the harmful effects of drug addiction and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. The initiative also aims to strengthen community vigilance against the menace of substance abuse and narco-related activities.
