LG Manoj Sinha announces Amarnath Yatra from July 3

Srinagar, April 12,2026- The annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is set to commence on July 3, 2026, and will conclude on August 28, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. The pilgrimage will span a total of 57 days, offering devotees ample time to undertake the sacred journey.

The Pratham Puja, marking the ceremonial beginning of the Yatra and invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva, will be held on June 29, 2026, on the occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima.

As per the announcement by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, advance registration for the Yatra will begin from April 15, 2026. Devotees can register through both online and offline modes, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience.

Offline registration facilities will be available at 554 designated branches of major banks across the country, including Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, and Yes Bank.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra remains one of the most significant religious pilgrimages in India, drawing lakhs of devotees every year to the holy cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas. Authorities have assured comprehensive arrangements for security, healthcare, and logistics to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience.
