J&K’s cultural and spiritual heritage to shape brighter future: Manoj Sinha

Jammu, March 31,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that Jammu and Kashmir’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage will play a vital role in shaping a brighter and more harmonious future for all.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Jammu Kashmir Cultural Festival in Jammu, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the deep-rooted traditions of the region, particularly the vibrant cultural ethos of Jammu.

“Jammu’s soil brims with rich traditions. From Dogri songs that weave life’s values to crafts that embed lived experiences, and art infused with devotion, our cultural legacy continues to inspire and breathe new life,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that in a world grappling with conflict and divisions, India stands tall as a beacon of peace and wisdom. He noted that the country’s ancient civilization has historically illuminated the world with knowledge, culture, and spirituality.

“At a time when global strife fractures societies and humanity seeks peace, India offers a path rooted in compassion, harmony, and spiritual consciousness,” he added.

Highlighting the significance of the festival, the Lieutenant Governor said it symbolizes the living cultural and spiritual roots of Jammu and Kashmir and serves as a celebration of heritage and human consciousness.

He further remarked that these spiritual and cultural foundations act as guiding forces, helping individuals achieve success while remaining anchored in values and traditions.

The festival showcased a rich tapestry of music, art, crafts, and traditional performances, reflecting the diverse cultural identity of the Union Territory and promoting unity through shared heritage.
