Ganderbal, July 11,2026- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, on Friday visited the Yatra Transit Camp at Manigam to review the facilities and arrangements made for the smooth stay, safety, and welfare of pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive inspection of the transit camp and assessed the functioning of key facilities, including healthcare services, sanitation, accommodation, and essential amenities. He reviewed the preparedness of medical teams by interacting with patients and healthcare staff and directed them to remain fully equipped to provide prompt and efficient medical care to every pilgrim.
Inspecting sanitation and cleanliness measures across the camp, the DC instructed the concerned departments to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, ensuring a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment for the devotees throughout their stay.
As part of the inspection, Jatin Kishore also visited various langars operating at the transit camp and interacted with pilgrims to obtain firsthand feedback on the quality of services and facilities being provided. He emphasised that the comfort, safety, and well-being of every Shri Amarnath Ji Yatri must remain the foremost priority of all departments involved in Yatra management.
Reiterating the need for a pilgrim-centric approach, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers and frontline personnel to extend every possible assistance to devotees with courtesy, compassion, and promptness, ensuring that no pilgrim faces any inconvenience during their stay at the Manigam Transit Camp.
He further stressed the importance of close coordination among all line departments for the seamless delivery of essential services and the immediate resolution of any issues arising during the pilgrimage.
