International Goddess museum to come up in Katra, invites public suggestions: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu, March 26,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced that the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is establishing a first-of-its-kind International Goddess Museum at Katra, aimed at creating a global spiritual and cultural landmark.

Highlighting the significance of the project, the Lieutenant Governor said the museum will showcase the rich heritage, traditions, and diverse representations of the divine feminine across cultures and civilizations. The initiative is expected to enhance spiritual tourism in the region while offering visitors a unique educational and cultural experience.

Inviting public participation, Manoj Sinha urged citizens, scholars, and devotees to share their valuable suggestions to make the museum truly distinctive on the global stage. “The International Goddess Museum will be a symbol of spiritual unity and cultural richness. I invite everyone to contribute ideas and insights to shape this landmark initiative,” he said.

The Shrine Board has also launched a dedicated portal to gather feedback and suggestions from people across the world. Interested individuals can visit the official website to submit their inputs and be part of this ambitious project.

Officials said the proposed museum will integrate modern technology with traditional narratives, offering immersive exhibits, research facilities, and curated galleries dedicated to various forms of goddess worship.

The project is being seen as a major step towards promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a hub of spiritual tourism, particularly linked to the revered shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, which attracts millions of pilgrims every year.
