Srinagar, February 22,2026- In a significant outreach initiative, the Indian Army organised a specialist medical camp in a remote village of Kashmir, bringing much-needed healthcare services to residents living in far-flung and inaccessible areas.
A team of experienced Army doctors, including specialists in general medicine and allied disciplines, examined hundreds of villagers during the camp. Free medical consultations, diagnostic check-ups, and essential medicines were provided to patients, many of whom face difficulties accessing healthcare facilities due to harsh terrain and limited infrastructure.
Elderly residents, women, and children particularly benefited from the initiative, receiving timely medical advice and treatment. The camp also focused on raising awareness about hygiene, preventive healthcare, and common seasonal ailments.
Locals expressed gratitude for the Army’s efforts, stating that such medical outreach programmes play a crucial role in bridging healthcare gaps in rural Kashmir. Officials said the initiative reflects the Army’s commitment to community welfare and strengthening civil-military relations in the region.
The medical camp is part of a broader humanitarian effort aimed at supporting remote communities through healthcare assistance, educational outreach, and infrastructure support.
