Rajouri, 30 September 2025: The Public Works Department has commenced construction of a long-awaited bridge in Sadda Panchayat of Kalakote, Rajouri district. Alongside the bridge, work has also started on a 1.05-kilometre-long link road aimed at improving rural connectivity and easing local transportation challenges.
The project is expected to provide major relief to residents who have faced difficulties in commuting due to the absence of a reliable bridge. Once completed, the new infrastructure will not only facilitate smooth transportation but also strengthen road connectivity within the region, enhancing access to education, healthcare, and markets.
Local residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the PWD project will significantly improve daily life and boost economic opportunities in Kalakote, Rajouri.
