Srinagar, July 31, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Qualifier 2 match of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League (KSL) 2025 at the Synthetic Turf TRC Ground in Srinagar, marking a significant moment for the region’s burgeoning football scene. The high-stakes match between Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC and Arco United FC drew a passionate crowd, showcasing the growing popularity of football in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Lieutenant Governor interacted with players, officials, and felicitated the owners of the six participating teams, commending their contribution to the landmark tournament. “The enthusiasm and passion witnessed over the past few days have been truly remarkable. Football holds a special place in the hearts of Kashmir’s youth; it’s more than just a sport, it’s a passion.
