Srinagar, July 19, 2025:The Amarnath Yatra 2025 continues to proceed smoothly and peacefully, with over 2.73 lakh pilgrims having successfully performed darshan at the holy cave shrine in the Himalayas. Pilgrims from across India are participating in the sacred journey to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, amid favourable weather conditions and strengthened logistical arrangements.
Authorities have implemented enhanced multi-layered security measures along both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. These include round-the-clock surveillance, deployment of additional personnel, and coordination between the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and Army units to ensure the safety of yatris.
Sacred Rituals and Spiritual Significance
The ongoing yatra has also witnessed the commencement of Chhari Mubarak rituals, a symbolic and spiritual highlight of the annual pilgrimage. Carried by Mahant Deependra Giri Ji, the Chhari Mubarak (holy mace) will journey through various key stops before reaching the sanctum sanctorum on Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) — marking the conclusion of the pilgrimage.
“The administration is committed to ensuring a safe, spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims,” said a senior official from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
