Udhampur, August 11,2026-Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa flagged off a training-cum-exposure visit of 25 farmers to Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Pathankot, Punjab, under the Apiculture Development Scheme and ATMA.
The exposure visit aims to provide participating farmers with practical knowledge of modern beekeeping techniques, honey processing, value addition, packaging and marketing. The farmers will also interact with agricultural experts and progressive beekeepers to learn about successful practices and innovative approaches in apiculture.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the skills of local farmers, promote scientific beekeeping and entrepreneurship, and enhance income opportunities through the development of the apiculture sector in Udhampur.
