Katra, June 25, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired the 75th Board meeting of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today at the Spiritual Growth Centre in Katra, Jammu. The meeting focused on enhancing pilgrim services and infrastructure for the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Trikoot Parvat of Reasi district.
During the meeting, the Board approved the dedication of five newly constructed temples in Reasi district, scheduled for public inauguration in July 2025. These temples, built by the Shrine Board, aim to enrich the spiritual landscape of the region and provide additional sacred sites for devotees.

In a significant development, LG Sinha also inaugurated several pilgrim-centric facilities near the Holy Cave area and Parvati Bhawan. These upgrades are designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of devotees visiting the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, ensuring a seamless pilgrimage experience. The initiatives reflect the Board’s commitment to improving infrastructure and services for the millions of pilgrims who visit the shrine annually.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board continues to prioritize pilgrim welfare, with ongoing efforts such as free Langar services at Tarakote, Sanjhichhat, and Bhairon Ji, alongside plans for further development, including the upcoming Medical College and Hospital at Kakryal-Katra.
