Kupwara launches critical care Ambulance service to boost emergency healthcare

Kupwara, February 18: In a significant step to enhance emergency medical services in the region, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, inaugurated the Critical Care Ambulance Services at Quality Healthcare Hospital, Bramri. The service aims to strengthen emergency medical response and improve healthcare accessibility, particularly in remote areas.

The newly launched ambulance is equipped with advanced life-support systems, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and oxygen supply, ensuring timely and specialised care for critically ill and trauma patients. This service bridges the gap between primary healthcare centers and tertiary hospitals, providing essential support in emergencies.

At the inauguration, DC Ayushi Sudan highlighted the importance of efficient emergency medical services and emphasised the need for well-equipped ambulances and trained medical personnel in remote regions. She reiterated the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility for all.

Principal GMC Handwara, CMO Kupwara, and SSP Kupwara lauded the initiative, recognizing its potential to significantly enhance healthcare services in the district. Dr. Ab Majeed Wani, Managing Director of the hospital, assured that the ambulance service would operate round the clock to ensure immediate medical assistance.

Later, DC Ayushi Sudan inspected the ambulance and interacted with the medical staff, reaffirming the administration’s dedication to improving emergency healthcare in Kupwara.
