Baseline Survey Launched Under Mission Yuva in Baramulla to Empower Youth and Foster Entrepreneurship

The District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, launched the Baseline Survey under Mission Yuva at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla. This initiative aims to empower youth and foster entrepreneurship across the district by identifying their needs, challenges, and aspirations.

The survey will be conducted through a comprehensive door-to-door approach, covering all Panchayats, Blocks, and Villages in Baramulla. A dedicated team of 75 supervisors and 1,500 investigators will collect real-time data, focusing on unemployed, under-employed, and aspiring entrepreneurs. The findings will guide the formulation of targeted interventions, such as loans, skill development programs, and other support mechanisms.

During the launch, DC Minga Sherpa underscored the importance of the survey in shaping youth-focused programs. He stated that the data collected will enable the district administration to provide tailored support, ensuring that young people have access to opportunities for growth and success.

Mission Yuva is structured around four strategic pillars — Culture, Capital, Capacity, and Connectivity—offering a comprehensive framework for youth empowerment. The initiative aims to preserve cultural heritage, provide financial resources, enhance skills, and establish networks to create an ecosystem where youth can thrive.

To ensure widespread awareness and participation, the DC directed officials to initiate a robust Information, Education, and Communication campaign. The campaign will inform the public about Mission Yuva and encourage active involvement from communities across the district.

The DC also stressed the importance of close monitoring and effective implementation of the survey. Residents were urged to cooperate with survey teams, as their participation is crucial for building a stronger, self-reliant Baramulla.

The survey is expected to play a pivotal role in transforming Baramulla’s youth empowerment landscape by identifying challenges and unlocking potential through sustainable interventions under Mission Yuva.
