In a small village Vehil in Shopian Jammu & Kashmir, school students of Scholars’ Axiom High School and Govt Middle School Kachoora took out a peace foot march. They were being made aware of the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in achieving freedom of India from the British rule on August 15, 1947. The aim was to raise awareness among village students and villagers about the role of Mahatma Gandhi in building our nation and society. Some students spoke about the courageous leaders who gave us freedom. And they said they would like to build such leaders in our society. The Father of our Nation, Mahtma Gandhi ji is a role model for us, said students in Vehil, Shopian.
