Yatri Niwas foundation laid in Jammu with CSR donation of Rs 51 crore from ONGC

Jammu and Kashmir has been waiting for the start of this holy work for many days, said the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at the commencement of the work on Yatri Niwas. When I happened to mention it to the PM he asked me to meet Minister Hardeep Singh Puri who the PM said will get the work done. I am grateful to him and Chairman ONGC Dr Arun Kumar who generously gave Rs 51 crore without delay for the construction of this building for the devotees from India. Given the difficulties of the yatra at 13000 feet, rough roads, to facilitate the travellers coming from the whole of India and abroad, the Yatri Niwas is getting built. It is written in Bhagavad Gita -they are divine men who work for the sanctity of places of pilgrimage, LG said. For the holy pilgrimage of Lord Shankar, a Disaster Management Center and Yatri Niwas construction work has started in Srinagar, LG informed. The bhawan donation is 65 crore Rs. Along with the Yatri bhawan, a replica of Baba Amarnath, a grand temple of Lord Shankar and an auditorium is being constructed. This will provide great convenience to the passengers and the devotees. Also to the year-round travellers, those who will not see Baba Amarnath directly can see the replica which will be completed next year, LG said. I want to express my gratitude on behalf of crores of devotees of the country, LG said. Around 2500 yatris will be able to stay in the bhawan. When I discussed this with the enlightened citizens of Jammu they had said that a grand temple of Lord Shankar should also be constructed. It is important to respect the wishes of the people of Jammu, said the Lieutenant Governor. Its designing, plan and architecture has been done in New Delhi. It will be ready in the stipulated time of one-and-a-half years, it will be tried, LG said. In ancient texts, Teertha means Ghat Ghat. It is a symbol. A place where man descends into the river of spirituality. Pilgrimage of Baba Amarnath presents an opportunity to be immersed in the glory of Lord Shankar himself. That’s why all the things related to pilgrimage, like the Yatri Niwas, are not just an ordinary building. Chitta is the mantra, effort is the seeker and master is the solution, LG said, reciting a Sanskrit shloka. What a revolutionary change has come in the country in the last 8-9 years. In a way, India’s spiritual revival under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has begun. Srinegri’s Pujya Shankaracharya ji in Teetwal laid the idol of Ma Sharda. For a long time the wish of devotees of Ma Sharda has been fulfilled. Another inauguration of a Tirupati temple will take place on June 8, 2023 giving devotees a chance. There was a lack of facilities for the pilgrims of Baba Amarnath. The changes happening in the country because of the PM you can feel it in Jammu and Kashmir too. Now whether it is to build a hospital or to facilitate transport, better facilities were given to the yatris living in the base camp. Pilgrims of Baba Amarnath from India and abroad should take a pleasant experience and take back spiritual memories of Jammu and Kashmir. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India said he was personally lucky to have come on an auspicious occasion. This will always stay in my memory, he said. If the project is good then no one needs to point it out. The proposed project incorporates accommodation for pilgrims, a disaster management centre, 54 rooms, 18 dormitories, the minister said such projects have an in-built momentum. Hardeep Singh Puri promised on the public forum that the proposal will be immediately approved.
