DODA, FEBRUARY 14: The District Administration doda, led by District Development Commissioner, Harvinder Singh organized the weekly Block Diwas public outreach program here today at Goha Marmat aiming to address public grievances.
District Development Council Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal, along with DDC Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani and DDC Councillor Mushtaq Ahmed also graced the occasion. The dignitaries engaged with PRIs and citizens to address their concerns directly.
The officials actively listened to a plethora of demands ranging from infrastructure development like water supply, electricity, and healthcare facilities to educational and tourism initiatives. Additionally, demand for banking facilities, sports infrastructure, and employment opportunities were also projected.
The DDC promptly addressed several grievances on-spot by instructing concerned officers. He conducted thorough inspection , starting with a visit to the Primary Health Center in Goha Marmat. This proactive approach demonstrates the administration’s commitment to ensure the quality and efficiency of essential services.
The DDC further inspected the progress of ongoing projects, underscoring the importance of infrastructure development in the region. This hands-on involvement reinforces accountability and transparency in project execution.
Later, the DDC distributed KCC (Kisan Credit Card) sanction letters to beneficiaries, highlighting the government’s support for agricultural initiatives and rural livelihoods. By facilitating access to financial resources, the administration aims to empower farmers and stimulate economic growth in the district.
The Block Diwas program not only served as a platform for citizens to voice their concerns but also underscored the administration’s commitment to inclusive development. Through cooperation between the public and local authorities, the aim is to collectively address challenges and pave the way for a brighter future for the district of Doda.
