When the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha visited Bandipora for the first time he took the ceremonial salute. Mohd. Abdulla, President, Youth Tribal Association said that they were grateful that the LG visited a small district Bandipora. The delegation put up a number of demands before him. The LG listened to their demands carefully and assured them about the necessary actions. They wanted the locals to be involved in governmental work. They also requested for a hostel for tribal girls in Bandipora. The LG assured them that their genuine demands will be taken care of. Another group represented by Ghulam Hassan, President, Fishermen Association said that we put up our concerns like the Wular Lake cleanliness, tourism, demand for timbre for boats, etc. They too were assured by the LG that their problems will be solved quickly. Raja Ajaz, DDC Tulail said that there were specific issues like electricity, etc. The LG listened to our issues and we hope that very soon we will get to see positive results in Bandipora.
