JAMMU, JANUARY 15: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative to spread the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047, reached panchayat Sureychak of block Mandal Phallian today.
The VBSY van was greeted by the members of the Swagat Committee and the Panchayati Raj Institutions in the presence of the Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma.
The VBSY van displayed the message of the Prime Minister on a large screen and also played a live telecast of his interaction with the beneficiaries of the central government schemes from across the country.
The people of the panchayat took the Sankalp pledge to make India a developed nation by 2047 and expressed their support for the government’s welfare programs.
The event was also attended by Member Special Tribunal Rahul Sharma and other eminent public leaders. Representatives of all the line departments, such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Handloom and Handicraft, were also present at the venue and showcased their respective schemes through informative stalls.
Jugal Kishore Sharma addressed the public and laid down the vision of the Government of India to make India a developed and prosperous country. He said that the VBSY is a unique initiative to reach out to the people at their doorsteps and make them aware of the various schemes and benefits that the government has launched for their empowerment and upliftment. He also appreciated the stories of transformation and development shared by the beneficiaries and took feedback from the public regarding the implementation of the schemes.
The VBSY is being undertaken across the Jammu district with effect from November 27, 2020 to cover all the 305 gram panchayats and 7 municipal councils and corporations.
The yatra aims to achieve saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all the targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.
