Srinagar, March 30,2026- The closing ceremony of the Vande Mataram Special Phase, held from March 23 to 30 to commemorate Shaheedi Diwas, concluded with patriotic fervour across Jammu and Kashmir, honouring the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the ceremony and paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for India’s independence. He highlighted that such initiatives strengthen the spirit of nationalism and unity among citizens.
Referring to the vision of Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor said Jammu and Kashmir has steadily moved towards integration with the national mainstream, witnessing transformative development and renewed patriotic energy through initiatives like Vande Mataram and Har Ghar Tiranga.
He emphasized that every section of society must share a common dream of making India the world’s greatest nation. “When every citizen contributes towards building a developed India, that collective resolve becomes an unstoppable force,” he said.
The week-long programme saw active participation from youth, students, and civil society, reflecting a strong sense of national pride and unity. The event also served as a platform to remember the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
The ceremony concluded with tributes to martyrs and a renewed pledge to work towards a strong, self-reliant, and developed India.
