Union Minister Dr Mahendra N Pandey Visits Pulwama | Inaugurates Projects | Reviews Progress in J&K Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Government of India, Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey visited District Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir. His visit was part of a public outreach program, where he was warmly welcomed by Dr. Basharat Qayoom (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama, ADDC Pulwama, SSP Pulwama, and senior officers of the District. The minister’s visit commenced with an inaugural ceremony of projects followed by a review meeting held at Circuit House, Pulwama. The projects that were inaugurated included water supply scheme at Chandgam and upgradation/strengthening of road from Nowdal bridge to Sheikh Mohalla Arabal at a cumulative project cost of Rs 748 lakhs benefitting a population of around 18950 individuals. Foundation stone of Govt UPS Hajibal was also laid with a project cost of Rs.110 Lakhs. During an extensive review, the Minister expressed great satisfaction over the progress in all schemes and the saturation of different schemes in the District. The visit showcased the Central Government’s commitment to fostering collaboration and growth in the region. I would like to tell all the people who have been honoured and families of martyrs and well-wishers that now your soil from your village and your area, through this Kalasha will be taken to the ‘Yudh Smarak’, the War Memorial in New Delhi where a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose is installed in honour of the brave soldiers of India. India’s largest Amrit vatika will be built there. And the entire soil of India unites here- Meri Mati Mera Desh. If you go awy from this earth, your future children will say with pride that this soil also includes the soil of Pulwama, the minister said to Pulwama residents.
