Travellers this winter access the roads to Sinthan Top

Work has been going on to keep the road open to Sinthan Top. Sinthan Top is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.792m (12,440ft) above the sea level, located in Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a famous tourist spot. It feels nice that the road is clear during winters, said travellers. As travellers, we did not face any difficulty and travelled with ease. They thanked the administration for the good condition of the roads. The road used to shut during the end October and open in June-July. With the roads open, people can reach Srinagar in three hours. The sick can also travel safely. A female traveller was impressed by the connectivity, road clearance and view at Sinthan top. She mentioned how the services were quick. At a snow blocked area, the JCB arrived in five minutes to clear the snow, said the traveller. The road service providers and workers face a lot of challenges and their work begins in December. Sometimes they thaw the snow on the road twice a day. But with adequate manpower and machinery they are prepared to tackle any challenges and their prime duty is to save the travellers from facing any difficulty while travelling.
