Speaking at the inauguration of ‘Upgradation of Transport Nagar, Jammu; the LG of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, after three decades, there has been a significant improvement in the transport management system and I think this is a great beginning, Jammu and Kashmir can go on the path of economic progress only if it can be an economic powerhouse. For a long time around 1600 business people were waiting for these facilities. Now that the inauguration work has commenced I hope that it will be completed in its time frame. It will remove the hurdles coming in the way of trade movement. It will also accelerate economic activities. The lives of these business people will also change. Jammu Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, JDA and Housing Urban Development together started this project. The plan was approved on July 18, 2022 by the Administrative Council. After approval of the plan, these authorities were working on it since.
