The Baltal trek route has been widened. Lights have been installed which helps us yatris to trek early morning and while returning after darshan late into the evening. The travellers can come at any time when the light is on. Government has taken out a new rule that the passenger can get down till 4 o’clock. So people can comfortably come and go with proper lighting in place. New amenities are added each year. With the opening of the Baltal way and the intsallation of lights, the yatra journey becomes more smooth, said a yatri. Here it is undoubtedly visible, ‘Modi hai toh mumkin hai’, remarked a pilgrim. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, the yatra is better than last year due to the joint efforts of everyone. I think we did a much better performance this time. I came by road to see what progress has been made by BRO. Appreciable effort has been made and we understand the difficulty of both stone cutting and working at such a height, said the Lieutenant Governor.
