Udhampur,May 16, 2025: A vibrant Tiranga rally illuminated the streets of Udhampur on Friday, organised by Citizens for National Security to celebrate the resounding success of Operation Sindoor. Hundreds of residents, alongside BJP leaders and community activists, marched with national flags, chanting patriotic slogans to honor the Indian Armed Forces for their resolute action against terrorism.
The rally was a heartfelt tribute to Operation Sindoor, a strategic military operation launched in response to the horrific April 22, 2025, terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 civilians lost their lives to Pakistan-backed militants. The operation, executed with precision, neutralized terrorist strongholds across the border, sending a clear message of India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism.
Leading the rally, BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa praised the armed forces, saying, “Operation Sindoor showcases the strength and resolve of our soldiers. The nation stands united in saluting their bravery and dedication to protecting our sovereignty.” Participants, including youth and veterans, echoed sentiments of pride, emphasizing Jammu and Kashmir’s integral role in India’s fight against terror.
Prominent leaders like Balwant Singh Mankotia and Pawan Gupta joined the event, highlighting the unity of the region in supporting national security efforts. The rally, part of a broader 11-day BJP-led Tiranga Yatra campaign running from May 13 to May 23, 2025, mirrored similar demonstrations in Srinagar, Kupwara, and beyond, all celebrating the armed forces’ valor.
The Udhampur rally not only commemorated the success of Operation Sindoor but also reinforced the region’s commitment to peace and patriotism under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. As tricolors waved high, the event stood as a powerful symbol of resilience and national unity against external threats.
