Teetwal Power House Project | Set to Generate 12 MW of Electricity | A Beacon of Progress in Kashmir Teetwal Power House project work is going on. The platform for the power house has been created and the shed wall process is going on, informed an official. This will be completed by the end of November. From the old powerhouse of 2 Mega Watt, we are taking its water through HRC Hydration pipes to this new powerhouse and we will be able to generate 12 Mega Watt of electricity, informed the official. This will be an achievement for this Valley. This is one ray of light in the darkness. Earlier we used to generate 1 Mega Watt of electricity in winters. By end of June 2024 we will be able to generate 12 Mega Watt of power. Teetwal seniors said that many people have been adjusted in the powerhouse in terms of earning livelihood and employment. They are working with great passion. After the construction of the powerhouse it will benefit our Teetwal area. We are grateful to the present government who sanctioned this powerhouse project. The power shortage that was there will hopefully be resolved this time. In 1947 Teetwal was a city tell our forefathers. We are getting the feel that it will once again be a city and see progress, the seniors said with hope. And especially our tunnel, if the work on the tunnel is completed then we will progress. After 2019, the government here has been doing a lot of work. Roads are getting constructed. The schemes of Jal Shakti Abhiyan are going on at a fast pace. The present government and district administration here is also working with great enthusiasm, Teetwal residents said.
