SSP Ganderbal Sudhanshu Dhama inspects Baltal, Domail track for Shri Amarnath Ji yatra

Ganderbal, April 22,2026- In preparation for the upcoming Amarnath Ji Yatra, Senior Superintendent of Police Sudhanshu Dhama conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Baltal Base Camp to assess security and logistical readiness.

During the visit, SSP Dhama reviewed arrangements related to crowd management, traffic regulation, security deployment, and emergency response systems. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among various departments to ensure a smooth, safe, and hassle-free pilgrimage for devotees.

The SSP also visited the Domail Yatra Track to evaluate on-ground conditions. He interacted with officers and personnel deployed along the route, taking stock of infrastructure, surveillance mechanisms, and preparedness for any contingencies. Areas requiring further improvement were identified, with directions issued for prompt action.

Highlighting the significance of proactive planning, SSP Dhama stressed that ensuring pilgrim safety remains the top priority. He directed officials to maintain high alertness, strengthen coordination, and address any gaps well in advance of the Yatra.

The inspection comes as part of ongoing efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and civil administration in Ganderbal to ensure seamless arrangements for one of the region’s most significant religious events.
