Srinagar, January 21,2026-The newly renovated Amira Kadal pedestrian bridge in Srinagar was illuminated on Tuesday evening, following its dedication to the public earlier in the day by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
The renovation and illumination of the bridge aim to improve pedestrian safety, enhance connectivity, and provide a modern, aesthetic landmark in the heart of the city. Officials highlighted that the project reflects the administration’s focus on upgrading urban infrastructure while ensuring convenience for citizens.
Residents welcomed the development, noting that the refurbished bridge will facilitate smoother movement and contribute to the overall beautification of Srinagar’s waterfront areas. The project is part of a broader initiative to modernize key public infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir.
