Katra, December 27,2025: The 11th Convocation Ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) was held today, marking a significant academic occasion for the university. The event was attended by senior officials, faculty members, students, and parents.
During the ceremony, the dignitary inaugurated a High-End Computing Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning Lab, aimed at strengthening advanced research and innovation, along with accommodation facilities for married scholars, enhancing student welfare and inclusivity on campus.
Addressing the gathering, the speaker emphasised the urgent need to transition from outdated, rote-based learning systems to modern, skill-oriented education models in order to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world.
