Pulwama, July 23: Under the government’s flagship initiative Mission YUVA, Sheraz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Pulwama, is preparing to launch his own bakery unit, marking a significant step toward self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Sharing his journey, Sheraz Ahmad Mir said, “I’ve spent nearly 10 to 20 years working in someone else’s bakery. Eventually, I asked myself — why not open something of my own?”
Encouraged by this thought, Sheraz approached the District Employment Office Pulwama and received an appointment under Mission YUVA. “It didn’t take much time,” he noted. “Within 5 to 6 days, I applied under the scheme. I was guided through every step.”
He expressed sincere gratitude to the Employment Department, bank officials, and the Mission YUVA team, all of whom played a vital role in supporting his dream. “Thanks to their support, I will soon be launching my own bakery unit — something I’ve dreamed about for years,” he added.
Mission YUVA continues to inspire youth across Pulwama by promoting self-employment, skill development, and economic empowerment through guided government support.
