Jammu, Feburary 11,2026- The Saras AAJEEVIKA Mela concluded successfully, celebrating the rich craft, culture, and cuisine of Jammu & Kashmir. The event, held under the JKRLM UMEED project, featured a special segment, ‘Umeed Ka Zaika’, which showcased traditional delicacies and culinary heritage from various districts of the region.
Artisans and craftsmen from across the Union Territory displayed handicrafts, wollen products, and local handmade items, attracting buyers and visitors eager to explore authentic regional products. The mela served as a platform to promote rural entrepreneurship, women empowerment, and self-help group (SHG) initiatives in J&K.
Officials emphasized that the mela strengthened market linkages for local producers and encouraged sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural communities. The successful conclusion of Saras AAJEEVIKA Mela highlighted the potential of such events in boosting tourism, local businesses, and cultural preservation.
