Sangarwani, a new tourist spot in Pulwama

The far flung villages of Jammu & Kashmir which abound in natural beauty and have the potential for tourism, an effort is being made under the guidance of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha to bring those under the umbrella of the tourism map. Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, DC Pulwama says, around eight villages in Pulwama district of J&K have been declared as tourist villages. Among these tourist village spots is Sangarwani. These villages have aesthetic sense, beauty, landscaping and topography. DC Pulwama said, we are looking at ways of improving tourism here. The entire Rajpura tehsil shows a lot of tourism potential. With tourists coming to these villages, infrastructure like washroom facilities, roads, tower, phone connectivity, etc. will be worked upon. The locals say Sangarwani is a beautiful place and tourists going to Gulmarg and Pahalgam should come to this offbeat place.
