Kashmir, April 21,2026-Samba district witnessed a significant outreach effort under the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign led by Manoj Sinha, with a large-scale awareness camp आयोजित at the Municipal Community Hall in Vijaypur.
Organised by the district administration, the event brought together local dignitaries, NGOs, civil society members, and residents from Vijaypur and adjoining areas. The initiative aimed to strengthen public awareness against drug abuse and encourage collective community action.
Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan and SSP Samba Anuj Kumar were present on the occasion, underscoring the administration’s commitment to tackling the drug menace at the grassroots level.
Community Participation Key to Success
Speakers at the camp highlighted the growing need for early awareness, youth engagement, and rehabilitation support to effectively combat substance abuse. Participants were sensitised about the harmful effects of drugs and the importance of reporting and prevention.
