The road work is going on in Shopian and it has brought us much happiness, say locals. Imtiaz Ahmad Khatana, a local resident of Shopian says, after 12 years, the road is getting repaired. It was in a very bad condition. The locals said the other roads should also get repaired. They thanked the DC for making the desired effort. Sarpanch Nisar Ahmad Manhas said, when it used to snow, then nobody came in our area. We used to face a lot of difficulties taking sick people in the absence of a road. Irfan Manhas, DDC Vice Chairperson Shopian said, people are very happy and rightly so. He said after the elections whatever task we are appointed with we are doing on the ground level to reach the people. If you ask the locals, in the last 20 years the tasks which were not happening, we are taking up those and getting it done.
