Ramban, December 17,2025:The football tournament titled “Kick Hard, Win Hearts”, organised under the Ramban District Police Civic Action Programme, was inaugurated today at the District Police Lines, Ramban. The event was formally inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ramban, Shri Varunjeet Singh Charak, in the presence of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramban, Shri Mujib-ul-Rehman.
The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth teams across the district, reflecting growing interest in sports as a means of healthy competition and community engagement. On the opening day, two thrilling semi-final matches were played, drawing applause from spectators and officials alike.
Addressing the gathering, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak emphasised the importance of sports initiatives in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and positive engagement among youth. He said such tournaments play a crucial role in channelising youthful energy in the right direction and help keep young people away from antisocial activities, including drug abuse.
ASP Mujib-ul-Rehman highlighted the role of the District Police in fostering trust and cooperation with the community through civic action programmes. He noted that sports events like these not only encourage talent but also strengthen bonds between the police and the public.
The tournament is part of ongoing efforts by the Ramban District Police to promote sportsmanship, youth empowerment, and a drug-free society through constructive recreational activities.
