The poultry project established under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in Ghamir Parmana, Rajouri, is emerging as a shining example of rural entrepreneurship and employment generation. With an investment of approximately ₹1.10 crore, the project has established a modern poultry unit equipped with 3,000 parent stock and a hatchery facility. It is helping strengthen the rural economy by creating new opportunities for farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs. The project was established by Bhola Ram, who received a subsidy of around ₹36 lakh from the government through the concerned department. This financial assistance has helped support his entrepreneurial journey and encouraged the growth of poultry farming in the region. The unit supplies poultry to markets across Rajouri and neighbouring districts, contributing to the local supply chain and economic development. The initiative is not only generating income for the owner’s family but also providing employment and livelihood opportunities to local residents. It demonstrates how government schemes can promote self-reliance, support rural businesses and encourage young people to pursue productive work. Bhola Ram expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing schemes that benefit ordinary citizens. He also encouraged people to stay away from drugs and work with dedication towards their goals. Overall, the project highlights the potential of HADP to transform rural livelihoods, strengthen entrepreneurship and build a more prosperous and self-reliant Rajouri.
