Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana is a life line for the poor

The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Government of India to provide relief to the poor and vulnerable sections of society, particularly during times of crisis or emergencies. It was initially introduced in 2016 as a part of the government’s efforts to mitigate the impact of demonetization on the poor. The scheme includes various components such as food security, financial assistance, healthcare, and employment generation. PM Narendra Modi’s aim is that no Indian should remain hungry. ‘ My boy in the house earns a living, he works as a labourer to make ends meet.We are thankful to the Central Government of India which has given ration cards especially for the poor people. In the present times, we have taken a lot of benefit from it, like before, we used to get 35 KG rice for a price but now it is available absolutely free. It’s not from today, we have been availing the benefit of the scheme for the last four years’, tells one of the farmer. One other beneficiary says ‘We are tribals & we live in the mountains & have been taking free ration for the last four years. It gives us a lot of relief. This should continue further. Today, no matter where I am, even if I am at work, my wife or children can go and collect free ration and no one takes money for it.Today we get 35 kg rice for free through ration cards. Earlier we used to get 35 kg of rice in exchange for money, today we are getting it for free and we are saving money. Now we use that money for other household chores. We are really thankful to PM Modi’
