Local residents in Kishtwar district turned out in large numbers for a candle light procession and condemned the cowardly attack by terrorists on the Indian Army truck in Poonch, Jammu & Kashmi on April 20, 2023. We strongly condemn this act by the terrorists on the Indian Army jawans, said locals in Kishtwar. To pay homage to the martyred brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the Poonch terror attack, the locals took to the streets. They said this attack is not just on the Indian Army but also on the entire humanity. The Indian Army in Jammu & Kashmir is working tirelessly for the last 20 years to bring peace, harmony and development here. But there are some sections who do not want to see development. This act is to destroy the communal harmony of Jammu & Kashmir, observed locals in Kishtwar district.
