Poonch , December 17,2025:The much-anticipated Chaar Sahibzaade T20 Cricket Tournament commenced today at the Sports Stadium, Poonch, drawing an enthusiastic response from players and spectators alike. The tournament is being organised by the Chaar Sahibzaade Management Committee with the aim of promoting sportsmanship and youth engagement in the region.
The event was formally inaugurated by MLA Poonch, Ajaz Jan, who attended the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, the MLA lauded the organisers for providing a competitive platform for young cricketers and emphasised the role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork and positive social values.
The tournament features 40 teams from across the region, which will compete in high-octane T20 matches over the coming days. Officials said the competition is expected to showcase emerging cricketing talent and generate excitement among sports enthusiasts in the district.
