The District Administration Pulwama held an Open Night Kabaddi Tournament to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat at Floriculture Park, Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir. The event was held in collaboration with District Youth Services & Sports Pulwama. Saqib Nazir, a Kabaddi Player said that there are great talents here in Kashmir despite lack of infrastructure. Many boys regularly participate in a lot of games like cricket, football and volleyball. These boys go to other places to play. This new game initiative is very good from the players’ point of view. DC Pulwama, Basharat Qayoom said, other games will also be held in the night. Night Cricket is already on. One football, volleyball and badminton night games will also be organised. The message is that the way youth have enthusiastically participated in Kabaddi, we would want all the Panchayats and Blocks to participate in various sports. The campaign which is going on for Nasha Mukt Bharat, we all have to fight against it. Another Kabaddi Player Inam Nabi expressed his happiness for the Night Kabaddi game.
