Northern Railway’s Jammu division completes one year, marks historic milestones

Jammu,January 5,2026-The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has completed one year of operations in 2025, achieving several historic milestones that are set to transform connectivity, tourism, and the economy in Jammu and Kashmir.

Key achievements include the inauguration of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (#USBRL), operationalization of iconic bridges over the Chenab and Anji rivers, and the launch of Vande Bharat train services, further enhancing passenger convenience and speed of travel.

Officials highlighted that these developments not only strengthen the rail network but also provide a major boost to tourism, trade, and regional economic growth, making travel across J&K faster, safer, and more efficient.

The Northern Railway Jammu Division has emphasized its commitment to modernizing railway infrastructure, ensuring world-class services, and expanding the reach of rail connectivity across the Union Territory.
