New facilities at Vaishno Devi Bhawan, development of Shankaracharya’s place and Sanskrit in J&K

Two new facilities, Tripti Bhojanalya and Prasad Kendra were inaugurated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. These two facilities have been dedicated to the devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. In the last two-three years, many new facilities have been developed, said the LG. To worship Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, tourists arrive from the corners of the country as well as foreign lands. How to make the journey of the devotees comfortable, easy and enjoyable, efforts are being made in this direction. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and the administration in full devotion are making the best efforts to provide better facilities, he said. Talking about another development, the LG said, the Shrine Board has resolved to develop the place of Shankaracharya. We are associating with Sanskrit scholars to restore the prestige of Sanskrit language in Jammu and Kashmir. Sanskrit cannot be the language of the common man if it is not propagated. A moral responsibility has now come upon the scholars of Sanskrit on how to make it a common language and how a normal person can understand and speak it. We need to increase the Sanskrit vocabulary of the common man. Only then can a common man come close to Sanskrit language, the LG said.
