New borewell installed in Udhampur village, ends water scarcity for 300 households

Udhampur , March 30,2026- Residents of Village Madolat in Manglian Morah (Ritti Panchayat), Udhampur, celebrated the successful installation of a new borewell hand pump under the Panchayat CAPEX initiative, executed at a cost of ₹3 lakh.

The project marks a significant step towards improving basic infrastructure in the area, ensuring a reliable supply of clean drinking water to nearly 250–300 households. For years, the village faced acute water scarcity, forcing residents to depend on distant and unreliable sources.

Residents expressed gratitude to the authorities for addressing their long-pending demand and bringing much-needed relief to the village.

Officials stated that such grassroots-level projects under the Panchayat CAPEX plan are aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life in remote areas.

The successful implementation of the project reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring basic amenities and sustainable development at the village level.
