‘My Town, My Pride’ brings public service delivery to doorsteps of Pulwama residents

For transparent effective service delivery, Municipal Council Pulwama organised ‘My Town My Pride 2.0’ week-long programme from November 28 – December 4, 2022. The programme’s major deliverables were Seven City Plans, Mumkin Scheme, PMJAY Golden Cards, Self Employment and Griha Pravesh. Digital service camps were held in every Urban Local Bodies (ULB). The programme is being organised in every municipality, said the locals. In Pulwama, people reported that a marriage hall has been constructed and a shopping complex has come up. They said a lot of work has been done which we have not seen in 70 years. All the departments are trying to promote their schemes among the people whether its agriculture, horticulture or sericulture. Through programmes like these the administration comes to know of the existing problems and they are redressed. The town of Pulwama will be in good standing if programmes like these continue, say locals. The Pulwama town is full of minerals and also intellectuals. It has so much potential that we can make it a small London, say residents.
