Jammu, February 15,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended an event commemorating the Nirvan Diwas of Sant Kabir at Bishnah, paying rich tributes to the 15th-century mystic poet and social reformer.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said Sant Kabir’s eternal wisdom and universal message continue to illuminate society, fostering unity, harmony, and spiritual awakening. He noted that Kabir’s teachings transcend barriers of caste, creed, and religion, guiding humanity towards truth, compassion, and righteous living.
The LG emphasized that India’s greatest strength lies in its unique ability to harmonize technology with tradition. “Our nation has mastered both the microchip and the mantra. Our ancient roots and digital branches, modern tools and timeless values of our sages together form the perfect blueprint for 21st-century success and prosperity,” he said.
Highlighting the relevance of Sant Kabir’s philosophy in contemporary times, the Lieutenant Governor observed that the saint’s message of social equality, inner awakening, and moral courage remains vital as India advances in innovation and digital transformation. He stressed that development must be guided by ethical values and spiritual depth to ensure inclusive growth.
The event witnessed participation from public representatives, spiritual leaders, scholars, and members of the local community, who remembered Sant Kabir’s contribution to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Devotional recitations and cultural programmes were also organised to mark the occasion.
The Lieutenant Governor urged citizens, especially the youth, to imbibe Sant Kabir’s teachings and contribute to nation-building with a spirit of unity, integrity, and service.
