LG unveils projects at 37th Foundation Day of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Boars

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the celebration of 37th Foundation Day of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB). On the occasion, the LG laid the foundation stone of various projects of Shrine Board and Gurukul.

For 1,450 workers posted at high altitudes, hardship allowance has been given approval. Accomodation facilities for workers near Katra in Ardha Kumari has been approved. The Lt Governor also rolled out new RFID system for the convenience of the passengers. The system will ensure seamless access control with minimal hassle to devotees. There are 29 counters and a Control Room has been built. The affiliation of Gurukul has been done with Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi. The Gurukul will establish science and spirituality in its curriculum. The Lt Governor said the Gurukul is the perfect medium to develop the future leaders who will be well accustomed with the modern, traditional and spiritual education. A new change towards education has been seen in Jammu & Kashmir and we are trying to give a new form to education. In harmony with modern, traditional and spiritual education, we can build the personalities of our future generation. The National Education Policy gives emphasis to nurturing the mind in natural ways rather than making the minds mechanical. With original ideas, students can adapt themselves according to the system of changing society, said the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
