An Inter Panchayat Kabaddi match was organised in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha graced the occasion to encourage the players in village Akhnoor. Elders in the village were happy that the administration was coming, earlier in his words- the thirsty had to go to the water, now the water itself is coming near the thirsty. This incentivises the farmers, zamindars and all the small scale families living in the village Akhnoor, the man said. The Lieutenant Governor did the tossing for the Inter Kabaddi match. The kabaddi players including males and females were happy that the LG watched their game. The representative of the male kabaddi players complained about lack of facilities to practise. He requested the LG administration to provide mats, lighting and other kit facilities to better their game. All the departments, whether agriculture, floriculture or horticulture are reaching out to the public. The department is also happy and so is the responsible authority, the elderly in Akhnoor village remarked
