Kashmir, November 11,2025- Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, emphasised the importance of innovation, technology, and industrial advancement in driving India’s growth during his address at the Annual Convocation of IIT Bhilai.
Highlighting India’s march towards becoming a global innovation hub, LG Sinha said, “Our prime objective is to improve the lives of people and drive economic growth through cutting-edge innovation. We must focus on providing new solutions to take industries and the nation forward, convert scientific and technical principles into real tools, and ensure that India leads in innovation.”
Congratulating the graduating students, he urged them to use their knowledge and skills to build a self-reliant, technologically empowered India. He called upon the youth to take inspiration from India’s industrial legacy and contribute to shaping a new era of research, startups, and digital transformation.
Acknowledging Bhilai’s historic contribution to the nation’s industrial development, LG Sinha reminded the IIT Bhilai community to carry forward this legacy with pride and vision. “IIT Bhilai must act as a powerful force to reshape the technical education landscape and create future-ready innovators who can solve global challenges,” he said.
The convocation ceremony witnessed participation from academic leaders, students, faculty, and industry experts, celebrating the achievements of the graduating class and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation-led development.
