Jammu, December 17,2025:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that India’s journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047 must be anchored in macroeconomic stability, along with sustained and high investment in education and health. He stressed that these pillars are essential to ensure inclusive and long-term development in an increasingly complex global environment.
Addressing the Strategic Management Forum Conference on Policy Making and Strategic Planning for Achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047, the LG highlighted the need for digital tools, participatory governance, transparency, accountability, and speedy project implementation to meet the aspirations of a growing population. He said efficient and citizen-centric public service delivery would be a decisive factor in achieving all-round development.
LG Manoj Sinha underlined that India stands at a critical juncture, facing both significant challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving world marked by technological transformation, geopolitical shifts and economic uncertainty. He emphasised that forward-looking policies and strategic planning are vital to navigate these changes successfully.
The Lieutenant Governor called upon policy makers, administrators and business leaders to play a proactive role in shaping a resilient and inclusive economy. He noted that collaboration between government, industry and society is crucial to foster innovation, generate employment and strengthen social infrastructure.
Highlighting the importance of good governance, the LG said that technology-driven administration, data-based decision-making and public participation can significantly improve outcomes in development programmes. He reiterated that accountability and transparency in governance are essential to build public trust and accelerate progress towards national goals.
The conference provided a platform for thought leaders to deliberate on strategic frameworks and policy interventions required to realise India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
