Kashmir, December 14,2025:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday released the book ‘Hindora’, authored by noted writer Satish Vimal, at a formal function attended by literary figures, officials, and art enthusiasts.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the author’s contribution to literature and emphasised the role of creative writing in preserving cultural heritage and encouraging intellectual discourse. He noted that books such as Hindora reflect society, values, and evolving human experiences, and play an important role in enriching the literary landscape.
LG Manoj Sinha highlighted the administration’s continued efforts to promote literature, art, and culture in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that writers and artists act as the conscience-keepers of society. He encouraged young writers to engage in meaningful literary pursuits and contribute to nation-building through their creative expression.
Author Satish Vimal expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for releasing the book and acknowledged the support extended to writers and cultural initiatives in the Union Territory. He briefly shared insights into the theme and inspiration behind Hindora, which explores social and human dimensions through a literary lens.
