Srinagar, January 26,2026- On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to the courage and sacrifice of the nation’s armed forces, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Srinagar.
LG Manoj Sinha expressed his deep respect for the bravery, valor, and devotion of those who safeguard India’s sovereignty, describing them as beacons of inspiration for every citizen. He emphasized that the sacrifices of these heroes continue to uphold the spirit of national unity and serve as guiding examples of patriotism and selfless service.
The ceremony included wreath-laying, a moment of silence, and solemn tributes to fallen soldiers and officers. LG Manoj Sinha highlighted the crucial role of the armed forces and CAPFs in maintaining peace, security, and public safety, especially in regions like Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, he noted that the Martyrs’ Memorial stands not only as a tribute to those who gave their lives but also as a call for citizens to dedicate themselves to nation-building, service, and development. The event underscored the ideals of sacrifice, heroism, and courage, reflecting the deep gratitude of the people of Jammu and Kashmir toward those who protect the nation every day.
